General Liability Insurance

LIVE FOLKS confirms that it maintains two separate liability insurance policies as part of its commitment to legal compliance, responsible operations, and industry best practices.

The first policy is mandatory under Panamanian law and is required by the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP) as a condition for legally operating tourism activities in Panama. This coverage is obligatory for licensed tour operators and ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

In addition to this mandatory insurance, LIVE FOLKS has voluntarily acquired a separate General Liability Insurance policy, which is not required by law. This additional coverage has been obtained as a matter of best business practice and reflects LIVE FOLKS’ proactive approach to risk management and professional responsibility.

This optional General Liability Insurance provides an added layer of protection intended to further safeguard customers (travelers) as well as distribution partners, including but not limited to travel agents, wholesalers, outbound tour operators, and other commercial partners engaging with LIVE FOLKS’ services.

The existence of these liability insurance policies does not replace or substitute individual travel insurance coverage. LIVE FOLKS strongly recommends that all travelers secure comprehensive personal travel insurance prior to participating in any tour or activity. Such coverage should include medical expenses, trip cancellation or interruption, personal accidents, and other unforeseen circumstances beyond the scope of a tour operator’s liability insurance.

By maintaining both the legally required insurance and an additional voluntary General Liability Insurance policy, LIVE FOLKS reinforces its position as a responsible and forward-thinking organization that consistently goes beyond minimum requirements to protect its customers, support its partners, and deliver reliable, market-leading travel solutions.
